King Von

KingKing Von was in fact Dayvon Daquan Bennett. He was born in Chicago on August 9, 1994 to Walter and Taesha. Bennett had three brothers and two sisters from his maternal grandmother. He was the father of six half-siblings. Because his father spent so much time in jail, Bennett was mostly taken by his mother. When he was 11, he was in jail in the year his father was gunned down and murdered. In the age of 16, Bennett did his first period in prison in what was only the beginning of several run-ins with the law. Following his release, Bennett received college credits from South Suburban College, South Holland, Illinois. In an effort to rehabilitate himself due to legal trouble, Bennett began pursuing his professional career in music and collaborating often with fellow rapper Lil Durk.Although "Welcome to O'Block" was the sole album that studio Von released during his lifetime and posthumously, an album titled "What it means to be King" made its debut posthumously in the month of March 2022.
